Five Digital Products I Am Exploring as a Beginner
The ideas on my list, why they appeal, and what I still need to learn.

One of the income ideas I keep coming back to is digital products: things you make once and can sell many times, without stock, postage or premises. As a complete beginner, I have been exploring what might suit the things I actually know and care about.
Here are the five ideas on my list, honestly assessed, along with what I still need to learn.
1. A hosting toolkit
Checklists and planning pages for welcoming guests, whether for dinner or for a short stay. I love hosting and I have learned a great deal about what makes people feel welcome. This one feels closest to my heart, which is both a strength and a risk: it is easy to assume others want what you love.
2. A homestead planner
A framework for thinking through land, building, gardening and managing a project from a distance. This comes straight from my own experience with the Lake Victoria homestead. The audience is smaller, but the need is real: there is very little honest, practical material for people building in Africa from abroad.
3. A midlife reset planner
Gentle prompts for taking stock, setting intentions and noticing what you want next. This journal has shown me how many women are asking exactly these questions. The challenge is that planners are a crowded field, so mine would need a genuinely distinctive voice.
The best product ideas sit at the crossing of what you know, what you love and what someone else is searching for.
4. A career reinvention workbook
Exercises for exploring skills, values and possible next steps after a career break. My background in education helps here: I know how to structure learning so it feels encouraging rather than overwhelming.
5. A home hosting guide
Simple, generous ideas for gathering people around your table without stress or overspending. This overlaps with the toolkit, so it may merge with it. Beginners are allowed to change their minds.
What I still need to learn
Plenty. How to design something beautiful enough to pay for. How to price fairly. How to reach the people who would actually want these things. And, above all, how to start small: one product, done well, rather than five done halfway.
I will document the process here as I go, including the mistakes. Especially the mistakes.
Little Moments, Big Becoming.
